The Creation of the Baby Quest Foundation with Pamela Cohen Hirsch
In this episode of Friends with Fertility, we're honored to sit down with Pamela Cohen Hirsch, a remarkable woman whose journey from educator to entrepreneur to fertility advocate has impacted countless lives. Pamela’s story begins in Springfield, IL, where she grew up before pursuing higher education with a double major in French and Spanish at the University of Illinois, followed by a Master’s Degree from Santa Clara University.
Pamela’s professional journey took an unexpected turn when she became one of the few Caucasian teachers in a segregated high school in Texas, and later, a teacher in Northern California. Her path led her to The Princeton Review, where she became the owner of a branch and was recognized by Inc. Magazine as one of the few female business owners to make the prestigious Inc 500 list.
However, it was witnessing her daughter's struggle with infertility that ignited a new passion in Pamela. In 2011, she founded Baby Quest Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing financial assistance for fertility treatments. Since its inception, Baby Quest has awarded over 180 grants totaling more than $3 million, helping bring 168 babies into the world.
In our conversation, Pamela shares her inspiring journey, the challenges she faced, and the impact Baby Quest has had on families across the United States. We also discuss her numerous accolades, including being inducted into her high school's Hall of Fame and her appearances on major platforms like The Today Show, The View, and MSNBC.
